Welcome to Joy of Jeanne!

I started this blog as an effort to document and encourage my personal happiness project. I was inspired by Gretchen Rubin's The Happiness Project.

I chose to start a happiness project of my own because I don't think I acknowledge all of the wonderful things in my life. I hope that being more aware of these blessings and making little changes to my life will make me a happier person and that in turn will make those around me happier. Each month of the year I'm focusing on a different area of my life to improve. 

I'm interested in reading (books, blogs, and just about anything!), cooking, sustainable principles and their application into our lives, and trying to organize the chaos that is our home! I'm also currently striving towards a healthier lifestyle - losing weight, eating better, and getting fit. So expect to hear about all of those topics and more!
